Illuminated Art Deco Toaster
This vintage piece has art-deco stying and is an example of one of the earliest electric toasters. It now features three striking Edison-style bulbs on the top and is completely dimmable. The original door is now fixed in place to highlight the lovely engraved design. Inside, in place of the original heating elements is an interior light that shines through the base, operated with a toggle switch; turn off the top bulbs and turn on the inside light - it may then be used as a nightlight.
A rotary dial rheostat switch controls the level of light, from quite bright to just barely visible.
This illuminated object is perfect for a den, kitchen bedroom, living room or bookcase. It casts a very warm candlelight-like color, and can be bright enough to read by.
The device measures 10" h x 7" w x 6"d.
This is a genuine antique; however, all electrical materials are certified, and all connections are designed for safety and durability.
